Hermitage in Yekaterinburg

Эрмитаж 1

The Hermitage-Ural Cultural and Educational Center has opened in Yekaterinburg. It is part of the Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts and a satellite of the St. Petersburg State Hermitage Museum. Among the first visitors of the exhibition were students of the Preparatory Faculty for foreign citizens of USUE. The children saw about 80 paintings and sculptures brought from the Hermitage collection. Among them were works by Paul Delaroche, Elisabeth Viger-Lebrun, Gustave Courbet, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Edgar Degas, Vincent Van Gogh and other authors. The audience also visited the museum's exposition, which includes two sections- "The Art of the Ancient world" and "Western European Art of the XV-XX centuries", which introduce the works of key national schools and help to trace the classical line of development of European culture over five centuries.
