The 1 st of May - Spring and Labor Day!

Students of the faculty, together with the leaders, teachers and employees of USUE, took to the festive procession dedicated to the Holiday of Spring and Labor on May 1st.  International Workers' Day is celebrated in many countries on May 1st or on the first Monday of the month. In modern Russia, this day is considered the Holiday of Spring and Labor.

XII Eurasian Economic Youth Forum

Students of the preparatory faculty for foreign citizens became guests of the XII Eurasian Economic Youth Forum. The Eurasian Economic Youth Forum has united proactive youth from all over the world throughout its history. Museum of the first president of Russia B. N. Yeltsin

      On February 1, students of the preparatory faculty of USUE from several countries together with teachers visited the museum named after the first President of Russia Boris Yeltsin. They did not choose this date by chance, because on this day, February 1, 1931, the first president of the Russian Federation Boris Nikolaevich Yeltsin was born in the Urals.  Future students of Russian universities, and now students of the preparatory faculty, decided to get acquainted with the history of Russia, as well as with the period of Yeltsin's period of government. Recall that the Yeltsin Museum is dedicated to the modern political history of Russia and the personality of Yeltsin. There is a collection of photos from different years, gifts from friends and politicians (orders and other things that are associated with the personality of the president).  Students took photos and videos, and also bought souvenirs for their relatives and friends in memory of Russia and the Urals.

Acquaintance with the unique exhibits of the ural geological museum

       On February 17, students of the preparatory faculty visited the Ural Geological Museum.  The guys looked with interest at the Ural stones, ores and rocks that were brought by students and teachers of the Ural Mining University from expeditions.  The exhibits have scientific, cultural, aesthetic and educational value.  Students are fascinated by the beauty and richness of the natural resources of our region.

Magical December

 December is the month of miracles, magic and New Year's mood. December began with cultural surprises for foreign students. The guys from Turkey and China visited the Yekaterinburg Opera House, where they watched "Swan Lake" — a ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The musical masterpiece of the greatest Russian composer did not leave our students indifferent, everyone was impressed by the beautiful music, bright scenery, artists who shone on the best stages of the world, as well as the wonderful atmosphere of high art.

Royal games

     On Friday, December 17, the students of the preparatory faculty of USUE visited the exhibition "Royal Games" in the museum and exhibition center "House of Poklevskys-Kozell". This is a unique project dedicated to the art of weapons of the XVI century in the framework of the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Sverdlovsk Regional Museum of Local Lore. The exhibition presents armor and Western European weapons of the late Renaissance period. Interesting differences in weapons for ceremonies, for tournaments, hunting, shooting competitions. Such exhibits as the armor belonging to one of the representatives of the noble European houses, and the two-handed sword of the Landsknecht - the weapon of the best infantry in Europe of the XVI century were remembered. Listeners from different countries will be happy to visit other exhibitions and projects of the museum

HERMITAGE-URAL

     An interesting excursion to the Hermitage-Ural, the satellite center of the original Hermitage, was organized for the students of the preparatory faculty. The building of the Museum of Fine Arts, located in the historical house of the merchant Bardygin on Vaynera Street, which was opened quite recently - in July, but has already become a very popular cultural place among residents and guests of the city of Yekaterinburg. During the excursion, USUE students from different countries learned about the history of the creation of this center, connected with the need to evacuate more than 1 million works of the Hermitage to Yekaterinburg from St. Petersburg during the Great Patriotic War. The museum's expositions occupy as many as three floors of a huge historical building. In addition, there is a coffee shop, a lecture hall, a souvenir shop, as well as a comfortable area for visitors, where students were happy to draw on easels, impressed by the works of European artists and the art of the ancient world seen in the art gallery. "

The magical world of the opera and ballet theater

     Foreign students of the preparatory faculty have visited the ballet "Giselle" at the Yekaterinburg Opera and Ballet Theater. Students were looking forward to the event and together with their teachers went to the long-awaited performance. The theater begins with a coat rack, and the admiration of the students began from the very first minutes of being in this incredibly beautiful place. Each and every student got a tremendous pleasure from the acquaintance with Russian ballet and the kaleidoscope of impressions caused by the famous classical production. "Introduction to Russian culture is also one of the most important goals of the educational process", - shared the teachers of USUE.

The history of the royal family

      Students of the Preparatory Faculty from Turkey every year prefer to get acquainted with the history of the Romanov family first of all. The Museum of the Holy Royal Family greeted our listeners cordially. Here the students managed to get to know not only the biography of the tsar, but also to see household items. The students examined the documents, letters and garments of the royal family with particular interest. It was a great opportunity to practice speaking, listening and asking questions.

Excursion to the Museum of Architecture and Design

     Students of the Preparatory Faculty for Foreign Citizens have visited the exhibition of archival documents "Demidovs in the Urals". Listeners from Turkey were especially interested to see the manuscripts of the original documents, the correspondence between the Demidovs and the Tsar. Demidovs are the founders of many Ural city-plants, they made an invaluable contribution to the development and development of the Ural region. The history of the region, mining, the history of Russia every year arouses genuine interest for new listeners. As a rule, after visiting museums, students start to study our history by themselves. We hope that we will be able to preserve this interest of our students and inspire them for a more in-depth study of the language, history and culture of our country.

Healthy rest

Last weekends our students visited «Uktus» resort where spent their free time having fun and leisure. Students were skiing. It was their first time for some of them while others felt pretty confident taking the track. When finished gyus thanked stuff of the resort for getting positive emotions and real good mood. In turn stuff members will be glad to see our students again.

INTERNSHIP FOR STUDENTS ABROAD!

USUE students are offered internships abroad: in China, Vietnam, Germany. The department of education of the PRC Consulate General in Yekaterinburg offers a place to study for one USUE student at one of the universities of China in 2019/2020 academic year.   Information on the types of scholarships, host organizations, the ways of applying and the registration process, as well as on higher education institutions of the People's Republic of China can be found on the website of the China government’s scholarship program (http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina). Internship of USUE students in Vietnam will be held at Hanoi University. The University offers students to expand their knowledge in several areas of training: business management, tourism, finance and banking, accounting, and information technologies. Training under grant at  the University of Dunaújváros (Dunaújváros, Hungary) USUE students are offered 3 places under grant for autumn term 2019. In a Good way!

End of June is the time of graduation in all educational institutions. Our preparatory faculty was no exception. On June 22, rector USUE Silin Y.P solemnly handed over to foreign students certificates on the completion of Russian language courses and wished further educational success. The students prepared a response, in which they expressed their gratitude to the management of international cooperation and the leadership of the university. After the official part of the festival continued with a buffet.

Congratulations!

On June 14 and 15 at the preparatory faculty, foreign students passed the final exams in Russian language. All students successfully coped with the final test, they demonstrated not only knowledge of vocabulary and grammar, but also the ability to confidently support the dialogue in Russian. We congratulate the guys and wish to continue studying in Russia successfully.

Theatrical evening

Russian ballet is known all over the world, therefore foreign students with special trepidation waited to visit the Yekaterinburg Opera and Ballet Theatre. We watched one of the most popular ballets - Swan Lake. The students were fascinated by the beautiful music and grace of the Russian ballerinas. The appeal to the best examples of Russian art allowed them to learn more about our culture and to love it.

Victory Day

May 9 is one of the most important holidays in Russia. Throughout the country events are held dedicated to this important event in the history of our country. Foreign students of the preparatory faculty understand that language learning is impossible without joining the culture of the people. Therefore, they were pleased to visit the traditional "Waltz of Victory" organized by USUE and imbued with the atmosphere of the holiday.

Sports Olympiad among international students

The event was held from 2 to 5 May at two venues – in DIVs and USUE. More than 400 sportsmen from 65 countries competed in eight sports: mini-football, volleyball, rock-climbing, streetballm, table tennis, shooting, chess and checkers. For three days sports drive and the will to win United teams of foreign students from 50 Russian universities. More than half of the athletes are from African countries. On May 3, the opening ceremony of the Olympiad was held in DIVs. The event was opened by the parade of participating countries, the national anthem of the host country and the international student anthem "Gaudeamus". The game ended with a colorful and vivid spectacle – Africa-Russia football match.
