On June 20, an admission campaign was launched across Russia. Ural State University of Economics plans to enroll more than 6.6 thousand first-year students in programs at all levels of education this year.
The admissions committee began its work at 10 a.m., Acting Rector of USUE Yakov Silin and Executive Secretary of the University Admissions Committee, Director of the Institute of Strategic Planning and Financial Analysis Maxim Maramygin cut the red ribbon in the lobby of the main building of the University, solemnly launching the 59th admission campaign in the history of the university.
"Today we are launching a new admission campaign. This is a special day and the beginning of a special year for applicants and their families. I sincerely wish that this period will be remembered for successful admission, fulfillment of dreams and the realization of all conceived plans for the sake of obtaining a decent education. Life and profession require an informed choice. A future doctor should enter a medical university, and a metallurgist should enter the specialized faculty of a federal university. And those who aim to receive a strong economic education in our field will absolutely do the right thing if they come to us. You can become a sought-after specialist only where you can be taught and brought to the highest professional level. We invite everyone who strives for the highest quality knowledge to our university. Today, the entire university is fully prepared for the admission campaign and is systematically preparing for the start of the new academic year, which is two months away. Have a good trip!" the head of USUE, Yakov Silin, addressed the audience at the official opening ceremony.
Maxim Maramygin, Executive Secretary of the USUE Admissions Committee, also welcomed the participants. "Congratulations to everyone on the start of the admission campaign! Thank you for your activity and trust.: Thank you for coming to apply on the first day. I wish all of us fruitful work and strict compliance with the admission rules established at the federal level for 2026. The current campaign is significantly different from last year and previous years. However, I'm sure: we will conduct it with dignity, strictly within the framework of the law and with maximum consideration for the interests of our applicants. We are getting to work," he said.
In the new academic year, USUE offers 6 college majors, 34 bachelor's degree programs, 2 specialty majors, 24 master's degree programs, and 7 postgraduate scientific majors.
366 budget places and 6280 places have been allocated on a contractual basis. The largest number of budget places — 30 each — is provided for the areas of "Informatics and Computer Engineering" and "Applied Informatics".
Applicants can choose one of three convenient ways to submit documents: electronically through the Online University Admission service on the Public Services portal, in person at the university (with the help of admissions officers on the Public Services portal) or through postal operators.
More than 50 students work in the admissions office together with the university's teachers and staff. Throughout the summer, while the campaign is underway, they will help applicants fill out documents and answer questions. The admissions office is open from Monday to Saturday.
